Sentier des Etoiles
In a landscape shaped by the legendary natural sculptures of Pic Saint Loup and the Causse de l'Hortus, the Sentier des Etoiles nestles in a preserved garrigue environment of the Pic Saint Loup AOP. Between the Cévennes and the Mediterranean coast, you enter the terroir of Pic Saint Loup, a location that fosters the elegance, freshness, and aromatic complexity of the wines. The vineyards of the Sentier des Etoiles boast a naturally preserved biodiversity: the strips of garrigue and trees that delineate the plots are an ideal habitat for numerous living species.
Domain presentation
An extension of Domaine Haut Lirou, Sentier des Etoiles is located in the heart of Pic Saint-Loup.
The estate’s wines are made from Syrah and Grenache. Sentier des Etoiles practices traditional and sustainable viticulture: short pruning to control yields, soil aeration, leaf thinning, trellising, and natural manure. At Domaine Sentier des Etoiles, the grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to ensure the quality of the harvest. The grape varieties are vinified in separate vats, each enclosed, and aged for 12 to 16 months in French oak barrels. In organic farming since 2020, the vines are truly integrated into nature: trees surround the plots, large spaces are left to evolve freely, grassy strips serve as a buffer with ditches and watercourses, nesting boxes for birds, hives for bees and shelters for bats are installed on the different estates.
